Ethiopia is located in the Rift Valley of the Horn of Africa and is known for its “origin of origin” and has enormous unexplored potential in tourism and hospitality.
Why Ethiopia for tourism?

Origin of Human Kind
Ethiopia is “the root of the Genesis of Life; the human family was first planted here” (Barack Obama, 2015)
Ethiopia is the home of the “first human”. In 1974, Donald Johanson and Tom Gray discovered in the Afar Region a 3.2-million-year-old human skeleton. This female hominid skeleton, named Lucy, can be admired at the National Museum of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.
Outstanding archaeological research are still undertaken in Ethiopia. Recently, homo sapiens fossils, dated between 195,000 and 160,000 years old have been discovered.
Rich cultural and natural heritage
Ethiopia is the African country with the biggest number of World Heritage sites recognised by the UNESCO (9).
